Despite China’s recent economic turmoil, Chinese property buyers are still looking for properties abroad, report China Daily (17 November 2015). According to Juwai data, the US remains a top choice for Chinese investors – many who already own properties in the mainland and are looking to diversify their assets by investing overseas. According to Simon Henry, Co-Founder of Juwai.com, different Chinese buyer profiles look at different aspects when property hunting. "Investment buyers like new apartment buildings because there are mostly apartments in China. Immigration investors like to live in established Chinese communities, while education buyers seek apartments close to US colleges and universities for their children to attend," shares Henry.
