The Brexit vote, which previously had little impact on Asian investors’ attitude towards of UK real estate, has caused Asian demand for UK property to soar post-Brexit, reports News Markets (25 July 2016). This is particularly apparent with Chinese buyers, whose appetite for UK property has grown with the fall of the British pound. According to Juwai.com, Chinese enquiries for the UK rose 30%-40% higher in the month after Brexit. “With politics stabilising and a competent new government in place, the UK looks like the same haven as ever – but cheaper,” said Bernie Morris, President of the UK, Europe, and Middle East for Juwai.com.
