New Zealand recently set a new precedent by breaking into the top 10 most popular countries for Chinese homebuyers on Juwai.com, reports OPP Connect (7 March 2014). Back in 2012, New Zealand was nowhere near the top 50 searches on Juwai.com, yet by June 2013, it shot up to land at the 15th favourite spot for Chinese. By end 2013, investor interest rose as much as 89% to further push it up to the 9th spot on the list. Most recently, China overtook the UK to become the biggest group of immigrants in New Zealand – hitting a decade high of 6,100 Chinese being granted citizenship. Having recently signed a partnership with RE/MAX New Zealand and Australia, Juwai.com seems all set to further strengthen this market.
