Oamaru, a quiet city in New Zealand's South Island, is now seeing a surge in interest from foreign property buyers, reports Stuff (5 March 2017). Local real estate agents have noted a dramatic increase of international buyers over the last six months in the city known for its historic precinct, spectacular views, and cheap residential prices. According to Chinese top property website Juwai.com, Oamaru also made a surprise entry into list of ten most viewed locations in New Zealand in 2016.
