Malaysia's upcoming 14th general election did not deter Chinese property buyers from investing there, reports The Edge Markets (3 May 2018). Recent data from Juwai.com, China's largest overseas property portal, revealed that Chinese buyer enquiries for Malaysian property in Q1 2018 actually increased 102.8% year-on-year. According to Carrie Law, CEO of Juwai.com, regardless on whichever party that wins the election, Chinese will continue to buy Malaysian real estate so long as the visa and education policies remain favourable.
