Here are some highlights from the report:
- Sarawak has the most positive residential price forecast, with prices projected to climb by 12% in the 12 months through the third quarter of 2022.
- At 35%, first-time buyers account for a larger share of new home transactions than at any time on record.
- Foreign buyers account for just 13% of Kuala Lumpur and Selangor transactions and just 9% in Penang.
- Just 41% of agents expect local upgrade buyers to increase their pace of transactions in the remainder of the year.
