Existing agents on idealista will now have the option to upgrade listings to enhance visibility and brand presence in China – something crucial as Chinese buyers grow increasingly important in the global property market. Juwai.com data reveals that Chinese buyers' search for Spanish property increased by 235% in 2013, thanks to the Golden Visa scheme. According to founder and CEO of idealista.com, Jesus Encinar, “Chinese buyers come to Southern Europe because it is both a little exotic to them and also part of the European Community. The quality of life, protected environment and especially property prices are very compelling for them.”
