The first step to breaking into the Chinese market is by selling themselves as trustworthy agents in order to secure long-term relationships with Chinese buyers – many who are more keen on generational investments, reports the Real Estate Business (24 October 2014). Stephen Ivanusa, Director of Belle Property International in Australia who recently attended the Juwai China Agent Summit in Beijing, told REB that working with Chinese buyers is more about setting up sales for future generations instead. According to Ivanusa, Chinese buyers are seeking agents who can help them conduct financial transactions on any level, and the bulk of transactions with Chinese buyers will only occur years later after first establishing the relationship.
