Chinese property buyers are expected to combine their holidays in Thailand with property shopping, reports the South China Morning Post (18 February 2018). According to Juwai.com, a Chinese real estate portal, Thailand was the third-most popular destination for Chinese investors in 2017, up from the sixth place in 2016. Currently, the top 3 investment hotspots for Chinese in Thailand are Pattaya, Bangkok, and Chiang Mai. A recent Juwai survey further revealed that 73.8 percent of Chinese buyers were purely investment-driven, while 51.9 per cent intend to invest in property for their own use.
