Chinese buying demand for Greek property grew in 2017 with US$300 million spent on residential real estate, reports Greek Reporter (7 September 2018). Carrie Law, CEO and Director of Juwai.com notes that one of the initiatives to buy property in Greece for the Chinese is the Golden Visa programme. According to her, Greece has already issued more than 20,000 investor visas to applicants and their dependents, which is more than any other country in Europe.
