Juwai IQI’s Group Managing Director, Daniel Ho, cited Infrastructure Australia's finding that there is a 48% greater demand than supply for builders.
Mr. Ho stated in an interview with Australian Property Investor Magazine that "Australia needs more training programs to educate people domestically and it needs more migrants to fill the vacancies."
"Migration is vitally important for the overburdened construction industry because Australia just cannot produce enough trained employees. The effect of migration on housing costs is more regional than national, according to Mr. Ho.
