May 16, 2011 -- That was the scene last month at the Real Estate Show in Beijing, the capital of a country where property has increased in value eightfold in three years, where the government is squeezing mortgage availability and where three months ago families were restricted to a maximum of two properties each to deter speculators. As a result, mainland Chinese are increasingly looking overseas to make property investments.
