Chinese cash flow into international property will prevail, even with the economic stir in China, reports the New York Times (29 November 2015). In fact, such uncertainty has further motivated them to invest overseas, such as London, Vancouver, and Australia. In the US, Chinese buyer focus starts on the coasts before moving deeper into the middle of the country. Education remains a major driver for Chinese investors, and college towns are attracting more and more Chinese buyers. With top institutions in Boston, New York and Los Angeles offering limited intakes, Chinese students are increasingly settling for less prestigious universities in the Midwest, such as Ohio State and Michigan State. According to Simon Henry, Co-Founder of Juwai.com, ‘‘If you look at the student populations of any major or nonmajor university, you’ll get a really good indication of what property prices are going to do.’’
