Melbourne is attracting more and more Chinese real estate buyers, reports Australia China Business Review (12 June 2018). According to Juwai.com, a China-based international real estate portal, Melbourne was the most-viewed Australian city in 2017 for Chinese property investors on their platform, followed by Sydney. Increased Chinese developer activity in Australia's second-tier cities are also starting to appeal to Chinese buyers, though, such as Brisbane and Gold Coast. “Some of the Chinese developers are also acquiring land there and they have been tailor-making products that appeal to the Chinese market,” said Carrie Law, CEO of Juwai.com. “These developers, they have been successful in China, and they have a steady consumer base already."
