Foreign funds flow into Japanese property

With rising concerns amonst Taiwanese regarding China's desire to reclaim what was formally theirs, Taiwanese are sending their money elsewhere.

In response to the rising fears on whether or not Taiwan will be reclaimed by China, Taiwanese have begun to store their money in the Japanese property market, looking for a safe haven out of fear of confiscation.

Japan has a very stable and inflexible market, making it a very attractive destination for Taiwanese investors who are looking for risk-free places to store their money.
