Chinese property investors are increasingly turning to Colorado for home purchase, reports The Denver Post (23 February 2014). Liz Richards, a Kentwood City Properties broker associate sold six units since December at the University Park Row Homes, and notes that "Half of them are Chinese buyers with cash…This is a brand-new trend." Juwai.com co-CEO, Andrew Taylor notes that searches for homes in Colorado nearly tripled last year, with Boulder and Colorado Springs the most popular areas searched. Furthermore, Chinese investors are buying more expensive homes, paying more than double the median price paid by Canadian buyers – $425,000 compared to $183,000 respectively.
