Super-rich from Hong Kong and China eye London's most expensive house
Wealthy Chinese buyers in Hong Kong and the mainland are eyeing Britain's most expensive mansion, South China Morning Post reports (24 April 2013). The palatial Regency mansion at 18 Carlton House Terrace in central London is now on sale with a price tag of £250 million. SCMP writes: "Chinese are among the keenest buyers of London property. International property consultancy Knight Frank reported earlier this year that investors from Singapore, Hong Kong, China, Malaysia and India last year accounted for 50 per cent of purchases of newly constructed homes in central London."
