The Real Deal (21 December 2011) reports that Juwai.com, a new international property platform aimed at Chinese property buyers may mean the arrival of even more Chinese investors to the Big Apple. Launched just a week ago with more than 1 million property listings from 80,000 brokers and developers in the US, UK, Australia, and Canada, Juwai.com is set to help international agents market their properties to Chinese buyers. According to founder, Andrew Taylor and Co-Founder, Simon Henry, “Chinese consumers have three criteria: abundant listings, unbiased information and trustworthiness. It’s not enough any longer to just list the property in English. Chinese will be the dominant language on the Internet by 2015, and [the] Chinese are among the fastest growing group of property buyers around the world.” Based on data from the Global Chinese Real Estate Congress, Chinese property hunters are set to spend $50 billion on property abroad in 2012.
