Golden Week holidays have become two of the peak periods for Chinese homebuying in the United States, and smart real estate agents would plan well to use this time to sell properties as well as build relationships with Chinese buyers whom they can't see in person during most of the year, reported The Real Estate Professional (September 2013).

“Every market will experience the Golden Week travel surge in a different way,” says Andrew Taylor, co-CEO of Juwai.com. Statistics from Juwai.com shows a 66 percent increase in property searches two weeks prior to Golden Week, and mobile usage of the site doubles during Golden Week itself.

According to China Merchants Bank and Bain & Company, high net worth Chinese investors hold a combined $13.1 trillion in assets for investment and about $655 billion is allocated to overseas real estate markets.
