Back in 2012, New Zealand was nowhere near the top 50 searches on, yet by June 2013, it shot up to land at the 15th favourite spot for Chinese. By end 2013, investor interest rose as much as 89% to further push it up to the 9th spot on the list. Most recently, China overtook the UK to become the biggest group of immigrants in New Zealand – hitting a decade high of 6,100 Chinese being granted citizenship.
