Even as the Chinese market fluctuation raises concern about Chinese investment power in the US, some experts believe it would in fact drive Chinese investment in the US, reports CNBC (9 July 2015). Several factors mentioned include the fact that US is more and more considered a safe haven in terms of investment and portfolio diversification. According to Auction.com Executive President Rick Sharga, a newest partner of Juwai.com, “So far, we're not seeing any slowing in interest from potential Chinese investors. And it's possible the stock market crash may actually have the opposite effect, and stimulate Chinese high net worth individuals to move money out of the country and into the relative safety of US real estate.”
