A recent survey by Chinese international property portal Juwai.com has unveiled just how much global property professionals really know about Chinese buyers, reports Property Observer (4 October 2016). While most international agents already possess basic knowledge about China, their depth of understanding of China and Chinese buyers are insufficient to pursue success with Chinese buyers. According to Juwai.com President of the Americas Matthew Moore, “It's true that being able to recognise the Chinese flag might not make much of a difference when it comes to successfully working with Chinese buyers. But we find these simple questions are an indicator of whether real estate professionals have invested time and energy in learning about and building relationships with potential buyers from China." Moore further adds that such efforts are crucial, as the ability to understand and relate to the buyers that operate in your market is vitally important.
