Chinese buyers are flocking to the UK in search of bargain property deals, thanks to the sterling's continued depreciation, reports The Telegraph (12 October 2016). According to Juwai.com, Chinese buyers enquiries were up 12.2 percent in September alone – a 90 percent increase y-o-y compared to 2015. Bernie Morris, President of UK, Europe and Middle East for Juwai.com, said: “We believe that London will remain the top destination for investment, and that it will receive increasing investment flow. Despite that absolute growth, we expect London’s share of total investment to decline gradually as Manchester and other cities become more successful at attracting Chinese buyers."
