Chinese homebuyers are trickling back towards Toronto once again, reports Mortgage Broker News (17 May 2018). New data from China's largest foreign real estate portal Juwai.com shows that Chinese enquiries for Toronto are back on the rise following the slump caused by the implementation of the foreign buyer tax in 2017. "After the new foreign buyers tax kicked in, Chinese demand dropped like a bowling ball, but now that ball may be bouncing,” said Juwai.com CEO Carrie Law, before adding, “Chinese buyers still want to buy in Toronto. They still want to study there. They still want to work there. And they still want to raise families there.”
