Queensland is expected to be the next real estate hotspot for rich buyers from China and across Asia, reports Australian News Review (20 October 2020). Juwai IQI, a Chinese property website geared towards international buyers across Asia, is expecting foreign demand for Queensland real estate to increase as it is less overcrowded. "It is plausible that Queensland will see an increase in international buyer market share due to its affordability, lower congestion, and good handling of the coronavirus," said Juwai IQI executive chairman Georg Chmiel. Only 4.2 per cent of Australia's 27,399 COVID-19 cases have been detected in Queensland.
