Recent data from Juwai.com reveals 60 percent of Australian property enquiries made last year from China were related to education, reports The Daily Telegraph (9 June 2016). “Anything Australia does to increase the number of Chinese students will also increase investment in strategic areas of the real estate market,” said Juwai.com Head of Australia Gavin Norris. According to Norris, Chinese guardian visa holders could potentially hold the greatest relative impact on the property market, as family members tend to accompany children who are of primary- and secondary-age to Australia compared to those with children aged 18 to 21 years old.
