Chinese are increasingly choosing Malaysia as their overseas retirement destination, reports TODAY (1 February 2018). The lower Ringgit and investment opportunities in Malaysia's property sector have made Malaysia very much attractive in the eyes of Chinese buyers, particularly after China made heavy major investments in Malaysia. Drawn by Malaysia's affordable cost of living and high-end infrastructure, 2016 saw more than 1,000 mainland Chinese joining the Malaysia My Second Home (MM2H) programme in a bid to secure its 10-year retirement visa. According to Juwai.com, the most sought-after Malaysian locations for Chinese buyers are Kuala Lumpur, Johor, and Melaka.
