China has a new 'tallest building'
By Juwai, 08 August 2013
The dragon-shaped Shanghai Tower is the final skyscraper in the Lujiazui financial district's high-rise trilogy.
When completed in 2015, the 632-metre Shanghai Tower will be the second-highest in the world.
Designed by US architecture firm Gensler, the building is meant to be a vertical city.
Whilst other property markets are struggling, China continues its robust and inspiring construction activity.
Other super-tall skyscraper construction projects are planned or under construction throughout China, including Suzhou, Wuhan, Shenyang, Chongqing, and Changsha.
